The Saugus Sachems softball squad (Saugus, MA), was routed 13-6 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the visiting Beverly Panthers (Beverly, MA)

With the triumph, Beverly improves its record to 8-2 on the year. The Panthers travel to Danvers (Danvers, MA) to face the Falcons in a Northeast- Dunn contest on Friday, May 2. The Falcons enter the contest with a record of 6-4. Danvers won 18-1 in their recent non-league contest against Swampscott (Swampscott, MA)

The Sachems now hold a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Winthrop for a Northeast- Lynch contest on Friday, May 2. Saugus will face a Vikings squad coming off a 23-4 non-league loss to Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA). The Vikings record now stands at 3-8.
