Maine High School Softball - Biddeford sneaks past Thornton Academy

In Wednesday's league match, the host Biddeford Tigers softball team scored a tight 9-8 win over the Thornton Academy Trojans.
The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Red Riots come into the Class A South match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, South Portland was nipped by Windham (Windham, ME), 9-5, in a league match.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME) in a Class A South match, on Friday, May 2. Thornton Academy will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Red Storm come into the match with a 0-2 record after their 19-2 league loss to Cheverus (Portland, ME).
