In Wednesday's non-league test, the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA), by a tally of 9-4.

Next, the Fishermen meet the Salem Witches (Salem, MA) in a Northeast- Lynch test, on Monday, May 5. Gloucester will attempt to advance on its 10-0 season record.

The Chieftains (5-6) will now prepare for their test against Peabody Veterans Memorial (Peabody, MA). The Tanners go into the Northeast- Dunn test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Peabody Veterans Memorial held off Winthrop (Winthrop, MA), 23-4, in a non-league test.
