The Lincoln-Way West Warriors softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Shepard Astros to 1 in the Warriors non-league win on Wednesday.

The Warriors now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Homewood-Flossmoor for a SouthWest Suburban battle on Thursday, May 1. Lincoln-Way West will confront a Vikings team coming off a 11-1 league loss to Lockport (Lockport, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Shepard moves to 18-4 on the season. The Astros travel to Bremen (Midlothian, IL) to confront the Braves in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 1. The Braves come into the battle with a record of 8-11. Bremen won 17-4 in their recent non-league battle against Thornton Fractional North (Calumet City, IL)
