Illinois High School Softball - Montini Catholic can't get by Saint Viator

The Saint Viator Lions edged the visiting Montini Catholic Broncos softball squad by a count of 2-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Lions play the Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL) in a East Suburban Catholic challenge, on Monday, May 5. Saint Viator will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Redwings enter the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 4-3 league loss to Carmel (Mundelein, IL).
The Broncos (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Laurence (Burbank, IL). The Vikings enter the GCAC- Red challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, St. Laurence was nudged by Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL), 4-3, in a league challenge.
