Ohio High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces Utica

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) and the visiting Utica Redskins (Utica, OH), observed Mt. Vernon's softball team prevail over Utica by a tally of 18-4.

The Yellowjackets (15-2) will now prepare for their bout against Granville (Granville, OH). The Blue Aces go into the Licking County bout with a 6-9 record. In their last bout, Granville was routed by Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH), 7-6, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Redskins clash with the Northridge Vikings (Johnstown, OH) in a Licking County bout, on Thursday, May 1. Utica will attempt to advance on its 7-10 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 5-4 league loss to Zanesville (Zanesville, OH).
