The Newark Academy Minutemen overwhelmed the host West Caldwell Tech Eagles softball squad by a count of 16-1 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Minutemen meet the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, May 2. Newark Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Lions go into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ).

The Eagles (5-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Bard (New York, NY). The Raptors go into the non-league challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Bard was routed by St. Dominic Academy (Jersey City, NJ), 16-6, in a non-league challenge.
