In Wednesday's non-league test, the Wayland-Cohocton Eagles (Wayland, NY) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Penn Yan Academy Mustangs (Penn Yan, NY), by a count of 22-0.
Next, the Eagles meet the Dansville Mustangs (Dansville, NY) in a Livingston County Division I test, on Thursday, May 1. Wayland-Cohocton will attempt to upgrade on its 7-1 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 0-5 record after their 12-0 league loss to Hornell (Hornell, NY).
The Mustangs (0-7) will now prepare for their test against Waterloo (Waterloo, NY). The Tigers go into the Finger Lakes East test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Waterloo was routed by Wayne (Ontario Center, NY), 13-9, in a league test.
