Illinois High School Baseball - Brimfield nips Eureka

April 30, 2026: Brimfield, IL 61517

In Thursday's non-league game, the host Brimfield Indians baseball team scored a close 8-7 win over the Eureka Hornets.

The Indians (18-3) will now prepare for their game against Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL). The Wildcats go into the Prairieland game with a 12-6 record. In their last game, Cuba/Spoon River Valley nudged Illini Bluffs (Glasford, IL), 9-4, in a league game.

Next, the Hornets play the LeRoy Panthers (LeRoy, IL) in a Heart of Illinois game, on Friday, May 1. Eureka will attempt to improve on its 10-10 season record. The Panthers go into the game with a 7-8 record after their 11-0 league loss to Tremont (Tremont, IL).
