In Monday's non-league game, the host Lincoln Railsplitters baseball team scored a tight 8-2 victory over the Peoria Notre Dame Irish.
The Railsplitters (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs go into the Apollo game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Mahomet-Seymour was overwhelmed by St. Anthony (Effingham, IL), 6-2, in a non-league game.
The Irish (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Chargers go into the Big Twelve game with a 0-3 record.
