In Monday's non-league battle, the visiting George Washington Eagles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters.
The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Academy at Palumbo (Philadelphia, PA). The Griffin come into the PPL - Independence battle with a 0-2 record.
