The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL) and the host Bloomington Purple Raiders (Bloomington, IL), saw East Peoria's softball squad nip Bloomington by a count of 6-1.
The Raiders now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Metamora for a Mid-Illini match on Tuesday, April 5.
With the loss, Bloomington falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Purple raiders host Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to face the Irish in a Big Twelve match on Saturday, April 9. The Irish enter the match with a record of 0-3.
