Pennsylvania High School Softball - South Fayette gets by Burgettstown

The South Fayette Lions (McDonald, PA) softball nipped the visiting Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA), 6-5 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Lions (3-2) will now prepare for their bout against Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Tigers go into the WPIAL 5A 4 bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Moon Area was edged by Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA), 16-14, in a non-league bout.
The Blue Devils now possess a 1-3 record. They play next when they host Chartiers-Houston for a WPIAL 2A 1 bout on Tuesday, April 5. Burgettstown will confront a Buccaneers squad coming off a 18-1 league win over Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 3-1.
