Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs (Franklin, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Edinburgh Lancers (Edinburgh, IN), 12-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Grizzly Cubs now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Plainfield for a Mid-State challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Edinburgh falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Lancers host Hauser (Hope, IN) to face the Jets in a Mid-Hoosier challenge on Thursday, April 7. The Jets enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Hauser lost 8-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN)
