Fort Payne Wildcats (Fort Payne, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Geraldine Bulldogs (Geraldine, AL), 3-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cherokee County for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Geraldine falls to 10-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Glencoe (Glencoe, AL) to battle the Yellowjackets in a 3A Area 12 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Yellowjackets enter the challenge with a record of 12-6. Glencoe won 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Ider (Ider, AL)
