Wachusett Regional Mountaineers (Holden, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Grafton Indians (Grafton, MA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Mountaineers now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shrewsbury for a Mid-Wach challenge on Friday, April 8. Wachusett Regional will battle a Colonials squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Acton-Boxborough (Acton, MA). The Colonials record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Grafton falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Leicester (Leicester, MA) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Leicester lost 24-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Millbury (Millbury, MA)
