The McLean Highlanders softball team scored 8 runs and limited the host West Springfield Spartans to 3 in the Highlanders non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, McLean moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Highlanders travel to Langley (McLean, VA) to clash with the Saxons in a Liberty game on Thursday, April 14. The Saxons come into the game with a record of 5-3.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the George C. Marshall Statesmen (Falls Church, VA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, April 5. West Springfield will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record. The Statesmen come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Lake Braddock (Burke, VA).
