The James Monroe Mavericks (Lindside, WV) baseball nipped the visiting Princeton Tigers (Princeton, WV), 6-5 in Tuesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Mavericks play the Pocahontas County Warriors (Dunmore, WV) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 6. James Monroe will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 0-5 record after their 16-4 non-league loss to Richwood (Richwood, WV).

The Tigers now sport a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they host Independence for a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 5. Princeton will play a Patriots squad coming off a 6-2 league win over Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Patriots record now stands at 3-3.
