The New Madrid County Central Eagles baseball team scored 19 runs and limited the host Malden Green Wave to 1 in the Eagles league victory on Tuesday.
The Eagles (4-2) will now prepare for their match against Portageville (Portageville, MO). The Bulldogs go into the Class 3 District 1 match with a 11-1 record. In their last match, Portageville ran past Central (Cape Girardeau, MO), 5-3, in a non-league match.
The Green Wave (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Woodland (Marble Hill, MO). The Cardinals go into the non-league match with a 4-3 record. In their last match, Woodland ran past Charleston (Charleston, MO), 4-2, in a league match.
