Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the host Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks (Newburgh, NY), 17-5 in a non-league test.

The Gladiators now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Middletown for a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. Goshen Central will play a Middie Bears team coming off a 22-1 non-league loss to Highland (Highland, NY). The Middie Bears record now stands at 0-3.

With the defeat, Newburgh Free Academy drops to 0-3 on the season. The Goldbacks host New Paltz (New Paltz, NY) to play the Huguenots in a non-league match on Thursday, April 6. The Huguenots go into the match with a record of 1-1. New Paltz lost 16-10 in their recent non-league match against Valley Central (Montgomery, NY)
