Pleasant Grove Spartans (Pleasant Grove, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Briarwood Christian Lions (Birmingham, AL), 13-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carver Birmingham for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. Pleasant Grove will battle a Rams squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Wenonah (Birmingham, AL). The Rams record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Briarwood Christian falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Helena (Helena, AL) to battle the Huskies in a 6A Area 7 challenge on Thursday, April 6. The Huskies enter the challenge with a record of 15-9. Helena lost 5-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Vestavia Hills (Vestavia Hills, AL)
