Gibsonburg Golden Bears (Gibsonburg, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Golden Bears now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Clyde for a non-league game on Thursday, April 6.

In their next game, the Senecas clash with the St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks (Fremont, OH) in a Sandusky Bay - River game, on Monday, April 10. Calvert will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Crimson Streaks come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 11-0 non-league win over Ross (Fremont, OH).
