Maryland High School Softball - McDonough can't get by Northern

April 4, 2023: Owings, MD 20736

In Tuesday's league contest, the Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) softball team held off the visiting McDonough Rams (Pomfret, MD), by a margin of 4-3.

With the triumph, Northern moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Patriots host Chopticon (Morganza, MD) to play the Braves in a Southern Maryland contest on Wednesday, April 5. The Braves come into the contest with a record of 4-1. Chopticon lost 9-3 in their recent league contest against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)

In their next game, the Rams play the La Plata Warriors (La Plata, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Monday, April 10. McDonough will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 10-0 league win over Great Mills (Great Mills, MD).
