In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Western Hills Wolverines (Frankfort, KY) softball team held off the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Western Hills moves its record to 10-3 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Marysville (Marysville, OH) to play the Monarchs in a non-league contest on Wednesday, April 5. The Monarchs come into the contest with a record of 1-0. Marysville won 15-1 in their recent non-league contest against Taft (Chicago, IL)
In their next game, the Hawks play the Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 6. Pike County Central will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 0-2 record after their 10-1 non-league loss to Chapmanville Regional (Chapmanville, WV).
