Point Pleasant Big Blacks (Point Pleasant, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Big Blacks now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop Kearney for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. Point Pleasant will battle a Kings squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Spring Valley (Huntington, WV). The Kings record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, West Springfield falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY) to battle the Lakers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 5. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Skaneateles lost 16-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Lewisville (Richburg, SC)
