In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting North East Carolina Prep baseball team scored a tight 9-4 victory over the Beddingfield Bruins.
The (5-5) will now prepare for their game against Martin County (Williamston, NC). The Knights go into the Four Rivers 1A game with a 5-8 record. In their last game, Martin County was overwhelmed by Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC), 13-11, in a non-league game.
The Bruins (4-4) will now prepare for their game against North Johnston (Kenly, NC). The Panthers go into the Neuse Six 2A game with a 8-4 record. In their last game, North Johnston was overwhelmed by Harnett Central (Angier, NC), 10-0, in a non-league game.
