The Cherokee Chiefs got by the host Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers baseball team by a count of 14-13 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Chiefs now possess a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they host Waynoka for a non-league game on Friday, April 5. Cherokee will clash with a Railroaders team coming off a 27-2 non-league win over Aline-Cleo (Aline, OK). The Railroaders record now stands at 6-5.
The Panthers (2-15) will now prepare for their game against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale (Waukomis, OK). The Mustangs go into the Skeltur game with a 17-2 record. In their last game, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale tipped Dover (Dover, OK), 14-0, in a league game.
