In Thursday's non-league game, the host Powers Catholic Chargers baseball team scored a nice 9-0 victory over the Kearsley Hornets.
The Chargers (1-0) will now prepare for their game against Yale (Yale, MI). The Bulldogs go into the non-league game with a 0-0 record.
The Hornets (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Cass City (Cass City, MI). The Red Hawks go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Cass City overcame Croswell-Lexington (Croswell, MI), 8-7, in a non-league game.
