Next, the Miners confront the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) in a South Central challenge, on Tuesday, April 9. Gillespie will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Freeburg (Freeburg, IL).

The Panthers now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they host Beardstown for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. North Mac will confront a Tigers team coming off a 2-2 non-league Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 3-1.
