In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting Southeast Polk Rams soccer squad scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Newton Cardinals.
The Rams (4-0) will now prepare for their battle against Davenport North (Davenport, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record.
The Cardinals (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Grinnell (Grinnell, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 2-1 record. In their last battle, Grinnell nudged West Delaware (Manchester, IA), 3-0, in a non-league battle.
