Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC) and the visiting Central Davidson Spartans (Lexington, NC), witnessed Mount Pleasant's softball squad tip Central Davidson by a count of 6-5.

The Tigers now sport a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Union Academy for a Yadkin Valley 1A/2A match on Tuesday, April 9. Mount Pleasant will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 18-0 league win over Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Central Davidson moves to 4-6 on the season. The Spartans travel to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to face the Grizzlies in a Mid-Piedmont 3A match on Tuesday, April 9. The Grizzlies go into the match with a record of 13-0. Oak Grove won 16-1 in their recent non-league match against South Columbus (Tabor City, NC)
