Spring Mills Cardinals (Martinsburg, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC), 8-6 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Range for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. Spring Mills will battle a Raiders squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Harbor Creek (Harborcreek, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Cheraw falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Braves host South Florence (Florence, SC) to battle the Bruins in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, April 10. The Bruins enter the challenge with a record of 13-4.
