Scio Central/Friendship Golden Eagles (Scio, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Doddridge County Bulldogs (West Union, WV), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Genesee Valley for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Scio Central/Friendship will battle a Jaguars squad coming off a 15-6 non-league win over Alfred-Almond (Almond, NY). The Jaguars record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Doddridge County falls to 9-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Clinton County (Albany, KY) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 5. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Clinton County won 16-8 in their recent non-league challenge against Keyser (Keyser, WV)
