Harding Academy Wildcats (Searcy, AR) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lonoke Jackrabbits (Lonoke, AR), 7-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 10-1 record. They take the field next when they host Bald Knob for a 3A Region 6 challenge on Friday, April 5. Harding Academy will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-2 league win over Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Lonoke falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Jackrabbits travel to Stuttgart (Stuttgart, AR) to face the Ricebirds in a 4A Region 8 challenge on Monday, April 8. The Ricebirds enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Stuttgart lost 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Star City (Star City, AR)
