The Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) softball nipped the host Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY), 4-3 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Commodores (12-3) will now prepare for their bout against Homer-Center (Homer City, PA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 1-1 record.
