In Thursday's non-league contest, the Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting J.L. Mann Patriots (Greenville, SC), by a margin of 11-1.

With the triumph, Union County moves its record to 11-4 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Chester (Chester, SC) to play the Cyclones in a AAA Region 4 contest on Tuesday, April 9. The Cyclones come into the contest with a record of 3-6. Chester lost 10-1 in their recent league contest against Woodruff (Woodruff, SC)

In their next game, the Patriots play the Hillcrest Rams (Simpsonville, SC) in a AAAAA Region 1 contest, on Friday, April 5. J.L. Mann will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record.
