In Friday's non-league game, the host Andalusia Bulldogs baseball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Ariton Purple Cats.

The Bulldogs (10-8) will now prepare for their game against Excel (Excel, AL). The Panthers go into the non-league game with a 9-15 record. In their last game, Excel was tipped by Cottage Hill Christian Academy (Mobile, AL), 4-3, in a non-league game.

Next, the Purple Cats play the Long Rebels (Skipperville, AL) in a 2A Area 4 game, on Tuesday, April 8. Ariton will attempt to improve on its 24-5 season record. The Rebels go into the game with a 13-5 record after their 10-6 non-league loss to Rehobeth (Dothan, AL).
