The Uintah Utes (Vernal, UT) baseball got by the visiting Bountiful RedHawks (Bountiful, UT), 6-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Utes now own a 4-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Payson for a 4A Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, April 9. Uintah will clash with a Lions team coming off a 10-7 league loss to Mountain View (Orem, UT). The Lions record now stands at 5-10.

With the defeat, Bountiful drops to 3-8 on the year. The Redhawks host Roy (Roy, UT) to clash with the Royals in a 5A Region 5 challenge on Monday, April 7. The Royals go into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Roy lost 13-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Fremont (Plain City, UT)
