In Friday's non-league game, the visiting John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers baseball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Oak Mountain Eagles.
The Cavaliers (15-12) will now prepare for their game against Leeds (Leeds, AL). The Greenwave go into the 5A Area 10 game with a 19-9 record. In their last game, Leeds nudged St. Clair County (Odenville, AL), 4-1, in a non-league game.
Next, the Eagles play the Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) in a 7A Area 6 game, on Saturday, April 5. Oak Mountain will attempt to improve on its 14-11 season record.
