In Friday's non-league game, the host Kennedy Cougars baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers.
The Cougars (8-8) will now prepare for their game against Morris Jeff (New Orleans, LA). The Pelicans go into the 3A District 10 game with a 2-6 record. In their last game, Morris Jeff nudged Abramson (New Orleans, LA), 7-6, in a non-league game.
Next, the Trailblazers play the Pickering Red Devils (Leesville, LA) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 14. Lake Charles College Prep will attempt to improve on its 13-14 season record.
