The Mount Vernon Mustangs baseball team scored 19 runs and held the host South Cobb Eagles to 0 in the Mustangs non-league win on Friday.
The Mustangs now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Pisgah Christian for a A D1 Region 5 test on Tuesday, April 8. Mount Vernon will clash with a Patriots team coming off a 2-0 league loss to The Weber School (Atlanta, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 3-14.
With the defeat, South Cobb drops to 0-8 on the year. The Eagles host Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA) to clash with the Eagles in a non-league test on Thursday, April 10. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 4-18. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Paideia (Atlanta, GA)
