The O'Neill Raiders (Highland Falls, NY) baseball got by the host Tri-Valley Bears (Grahamsville, NY), 5-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Raiders now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Newburgh Free Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 5. O'Neill will clash with a Goldbacks team coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Valley Central (Montgomery, NY). The Goldbacks record now stands at 1-0.
With the defeat, Tri-Valley drops to 0-1 on the year. The Bears travel to Chester (Chester, NY) to clash with the Hambletonians in a Section 9 Orange County V challenge on Wednesday, April 16. The Hambletonians go into the challenge with a record of 0-1.
