In Friday's non-league game, the host St. James Academy Thunder baseball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Turner Golden Bears.
The Thunder (4-2) will now prepare for their game against Basehor-Linwood (Basehor, KS). The Bobcats go into the non-league game with a 2-4 record. In their last game, Basehor-Linwood was tipped by Shawnee Heights (Tecumseh, KS), 3-2, in a non-league game.
