Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Kennedy Cougars (Sacramento, CA) and the host Lincoln Fighting Zebras (Lincoln, CA), observed Kennedy's volleyball team top Lincoln by a count of 2-0.

The Cougars (15-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA). The Lancers enter the contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Cordova notched a victory over McClatchy (Sacramento, CA), 2-1, in a league contest.

Next, the Fighting Zebras battle the Bear River Bruins (Grass Valley, CA) in a contest, on Monday, April 7. Lincoln will attempt to move on its 1-10 season record. The Bruins enter the contest with a 5-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Mira Loma (Sacramento, CA).
