The Gilmour Academy Lancers triumphed over the host Archbishop Hoban Knights lacrosse team by a tally of 14-9 in Friday's league match.
Next up, the Lancers confront the Riverside Beavers (Painesville, OH) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 7. Gilmour Academy will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Beavers enter the match with a 0-3 record after their 17-8 non-league loss to Avon (Avon, OH).
The Knights (5-5) will now prepare for their match against St. Vincent-St. Mary (Akron, OH). The Fighting Irish enter the Region 6 match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, St. Vincent-St. Mary got by Boardman (Youngstown, OH), 11-3, in a non-league match.
