In Friday's non-league challenge, the host Lakeside Panthers lacrosse squad scored a tight 9-8 triumph over the River Bluff Gators.
The Panthers (11-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenbrier (Evans, GA). The Wolfpack go into the 2A Area 7 challenge with a 8-1 record. In their last challenge, Greenbrier held off Grovetown (Grovetown, GA), 20-0, in a league battle.
The Gators now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Irmo for a 5A Lower District 4 battle on Monday, April 7. River Bluff will encounter a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 14-10 non-league loss to Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-13.
