The William Byrd Terriers softball team scored 20 runs and held the host Salem Spartans to 5 in the Terriers non-league win on Friday.
The Terriers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pulaski County for a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. William Byrd will confront a Cougars team coming off a 13-3 non-league loss to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Salem moves to 0-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Knights in a non-league battle on Tuesday, April 8. The Knights come into the battle with a record of 3-0. Cave Spring won 13-3 in their recent non-league battle against Pulaski County (Dublin, VA)
