Fans at Friday's non-league contest between the Central Catholic Vikings (Pittsburgh, PA) and the visiting Wheeling Park Patriots (Wheeling, WV), witnessed Central Catholic's lacrosse squad top Wheeling Park by a count of 19-4.
The Vikings (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA). The Blue Devils enter the WPIAL 3A 1 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Mt. Lebanon was overwhelmed by Kiski School (Saltsburg, PA), 13-4, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Patriots meet the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, April 8. Wheeling Park will attempt to move on its 1-5 season record. The Hawks enter the contest with a 6-2 record after their 15-2 league win over Spring Mills (Martinsburg, WV).
