The Aberdeen Bobcats triumphed over the visiting Hoquiam Grizzlies softball squad by a count of 18-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Bobcats meet the Tumwater Thunderbirds (Tumwater, WA) in a 2A Evergreen challenge, on Tuesday, April 8. Aberdeen will attempt to upgrade on its 8-0 season record. The Thunderbirds enter the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Montesano (Montesano, WA).
The Grizzlies (1-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Lakeside overcame Kettle Falls (Kettle Falls, WA), 14-7, in a non-league challenge.
