In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Ashland Grizzlies softball team scored a tight 10-4 win over the Yreka Miners.

The Grizzlies (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR). The Eagles come into the 5A Midwestern match with a 2-5 record. In their last match, Eagle Point was routed by Phoenix (Phoenix, OR), 8-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Miners confront the Lassen Grizzlies (Susanville, CA) in a Northern match, on Tuesday, April 8. Yreka will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Grizzlies come into the match with a 7-5 record after their 16-2 non-league win over Quincy (Quincy, CA).
